Since Bridget and Gary took over the recently refurbished campsite the campsite and facilities and have been enjoyed and appreciated by hundreds of people this summer.
As well as people, people like you and I, the site is sometimes used by ‘professional campers’ too. We have recently had visits from members of the Campervan Team at outandaboutlive.co.uk. They have been using our campsite to test some of the vehicles they write about. One of the write-ups can be seen by clicking on the “hillside” image.

The photos were snapped at the Duke of York pub on Ashbourne Road in the village of Pomeroy, which has a great campsite to the rear of it. With hardstanding pitches and views over rolling Derbyshire countryside it’s a great base from which to explore the Dales. It also has a recently built shower block and the pub serves great food and real ale. Opposite the pub across a field, you’ll find the Tissington Trail which runs all the way to Ashbourne.
